Associated Magickal Uses: Anhydrous. A crystalline powder originally derived from citrus fruit, now produced by fermentation of glucose derived from starch, widely used in foods and cosmetics. Used as the other major ingredient in fizzing bath seltzers or salts along with baking soda. When citric acid and baking soda are combined and then mixed with water a chemical reaction occurs that releases carbon dioxide, thus the "fizz".
